Chronology of cameras Office General de Photographie (Nadar)
The Office Général de la Photographie was founded by Paul Tournachon, also known as Paul Nadar (1856-1939), the son of Félix Tournachon, known as Nadar (1820-1910).
Paul quickly took charge of his father's workshop (gallery). When he started the equipment sales business, he didn't hesitate to use his father's signature, with his permission. The use of this logo continued even after his father had retired in 1887. Some cameras bear the name Nadar but are manufactured by a third party.
The 1888 or 1889 catalog features a photograph of the French chemist Michel-Eugène Chevreul on the cover, taken by Nadar in 1886 during an interview with the father and son.
Ce type de chambre se voulait polyvalent, pour utilisation à l'extérieur et à l'atelier, mais ne dispose pas des mouvements de bascule.
La fixation et le blocage du corps arrière sur la base pliante se fait par deux tiges filetées verticales munies d'un gros bouton à l'extrémité.
Une cloison intérieure amovible est prévue permettant soit la stéréoscopie en deux temps, soit de faire deux photos différentes sur la même plaque, remplaçant ainsi le châssis multiplicateur pour le portrait.
