Chronology of cameras Rollei
The Rolleiflex 4x4 (Model 2) K.1A 420, is easily identifiable by the presence of peep window above the viewing lens, the simple Compur shutter to a maximum speed of 300 and a Tessar 1:3.5 as taking lens. The nameplate serial number starts at 149,000 in February 1933 and ends around 154,999 in December 1934. The hidden body serial numbers (meaning production) are in the range 9,501 to 11,xxx (together with the model 421 with Tessar 1:2.8). Factory data indicate that Franke & Heidecke only produced around 300 of these cameras.
