Chronology of cameras Nikon
The Nikon U Agnès b. is a special version of the Nikon U (Japanese market dedicated version of the Nikon F65D).
This camera is on display at the Nikon Museum in Tokyo. The text on the presentation label is as follows: "An autofocus SLR camera designed in collaboration with the well-known fashion designer Agnès B. Exclusive in Japan. 2002."
This version would have been produced in 2000 copies (information seen on a blog but not cross-checked otherwise). It is difficult to say that this camera only targeted the Japanese market since the presentation instructions for the sales teams appear in several languages on the kit box underside (English, German, French and Japanese). Furthermore, this version does not have the data imprint feature back which is unusual for the Japanese Us / U / U2 series (F55D / F65D / F75D outside the United States and Japan).
The Nikon U Agnès b. was sold in a kit including:
- The camera body with the classic DK-5 eyepiece cover and BS-1 hot shoe cover.
- The Nikon AF Nikkor 28-80mm f1:3.3-5.6G lens (black finish)
- A specific red and black neck strap with the inscription in French "J'aime la photographie !"
- A ML-L3 remote control and its case.
A dedicated soft case was offered in addition to the kit to protect the camera and its lens.
