Chronology of cameras Asaflex

The brand Asaflex was registered on March 15, 1977, and renewed in February 1987, by the Compagnie de Diffusion Internationale et Commerciale (S.A). It was re-registered in February 1988, again for photographic equipment.
Subsequently, the "Gorthex Group" (located at 140 rue de la Pompe, 75016 Paris) simultaneously filed for the trademarks Asaflex and Gorthex on January 23, 1997.

This model is a false reflex, made of plastic, with several appendages that are fake and only intended to create confusion with serious cameras. As with most cameras of this type, the plastic is too lightweight to appear serious, so a weight has been added to the base of the camera to give it more heft.

There is a marking on the back indicating a 30-second wait time between two flash photos. It's safe to say that the flash charging (likely inefficient) is not optimized.

Ouyama is also known as New Taiwan Photographic Corporation (NTPC). Like those of Formosa Plastics Corporation (FPC), NTPC's products are plastic, of poor quality (from a photographic perspective), and are found under multiple names, often used as promotional gifts. The Canomatic is representative of this manufacturer. It appears that FPC manufactured for NTPC.
