Chronology of cameras Closter

The Closter C60, C61, and C63 form a series of low-end cameras where the number in the model name indicates the level of equipment.

    Shutter Synchro Apertures

C60   I, B Yes 1
C61 1/50, B 2
C63 1/30, 1/150, B 2

The quality of the materials is significantly lower than that of the Closter Sport models.

When you first pick up the Closter C61, its weight gives an initial impression of seriousness, which unfortunately is quickly contradicted when you delve into the details. The body of the case and the back are made of cast aluminum alloy, well-finished. However, the shutter release is a small lever cut from flat metal, protruding from the front to control a rotary shutter with two speeds (1/50 and B mode). The aperture offers two openings marked with symbols: cloud and sun or full sun, with the largest opening at f/7. When the back is opened, you notice that the film holder is a simple sheet of metal, without a spring but perfectly designed to leave beautiful scratches on the back of the film.

In short, it's a basic camera, quite attractive in appearance but too rudimentary to teach the basics of photography to a beginner.
