Chronology of cameras Agfa
It is commonly said that this box camera was sold for 4 Reichsmarks, provided that the payment was made with four one-mark coins, each bearing the letters A, G, F, and once again A. What is generally not mentioned is that these letters on the obverse of the coin indicate the mint where it was produced: A for Berlin, G for Karlsruhe, and F for Stuttgart.
The Preis-Box was available in black or blue.
Following this marketing campaign, the model became No. 44. There is also a version that differs only by the marking "Schuleprämie" on the handle, intended as a reward for outstanding students.
