Chronology of cameras Polaroid

From 1952 to 1964, Polaroid produced the Pathfinder series: 110 (1952-57), 110A (1957-60) and 110B (1960-64). Polaroid considered the Pathfinders to be the top of the line of its production, for expert customers.
These are Folding type cameras, with a plastic bellows. Part of the body is plastic (cover) but the rest is metal, which makes them heavy models due to their large size. They are equipped with efficient shutters and lenses.
They use roll film, Rollfilm Type 42 or Rollfilm Type 47. The most visible difference between the three models is the shape of the rangefinder.
Their selling price was very high, since it almost reached that of a Rolleiflex.

__________

The Polaroid 110B is the latest and most advanced model in the Pathfinder series.

As on the 110A the rangefinder is housed under the hood but now there is only one eyepiece, the 110 does not have a rangefinder hood. The image of the rangefinder is triangular which is original, this image being usually round or rectangular.

The lens cap has a tiny hole in the center turning this model into a pinhole camera.

This camera was sold for 172.50 dollars.
