Chronology of cameras Olympus
The saga of the extensive family of Olympus digital compact cameras from the FE (Fun & Easy) series began in mid-2005 with the 100 series (FE-1nn). This was followed by the 200, 300, 20, 30, 40, 3000, 4000, and 5000 series. Olympus promoted a "One button, one function" principle for this range to simplify navigation through potentially complex menus and reduce the need to refer to the user manual.
The table below lists the members of the 100 series, with the first historic representatives being the FE-100, FE-110, and FE-120, announced at the end of August 2005. New models were announced by Olympus at the end of January 2006, including the FE-115, FE-130, FE-140, FE-150, and FE-160. In issue number 2812, Chasseur d'Images mentions the first four but omits the FE-160. The FE-170, FE-180, and FE-190 were announced at the end of August 2006.
With the exception of the FE-150, FE-160, and FE-190, these cameras have the advantage of being powered by two standard AA batteries, which are easy to find. The FE-150, FE-160, and FE-190 are powered by a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. The manufacturing country varies depending on the model: China, Indonesia, Vietnam.

These models exist under two distinct references (FE-nnn or X-nnn) while sharing the same user manual, which contains both references on the front cover. Multiple references for the same product are often associated with different countries of marketing, but no conclusive evidence has been found to validate this hypothesis in the case at hand. __________
This was probably a mid range compact camera for the period. It is largely automatic with only very limited operator controls. The lens has a very ordinary zoom range of 3X, and no wide angle,
