Chronology of cameras Aires
Aires Camera was a small Japanese manufacturer active during the 1950s. Production began with twin-lens reflex cameras.
The brand is relatively unknown in France because the cameras were not imported there. If you happen to find one in France, it's likely to have been brought directly from Japan or the United States, where the brand was also present, notably distributed by Kalimar.
The highlight of the brand was a series of beautiful 35mm rangefinder cameras, very well made, although over time, the shutters often became frozen.
Cameras in this series were named "Aires 35," often followed by a number in Roman numerals.

__________
The 35-III A model was a similar but less expensive version of the 35-III. To achieve a lower price, the lens in this model is composed of 4 lenses, whereas the III model has 6 lenses. Consequently, the lens in the 35-III A is less luminous.
The viewfinder is still collimated with optical parallax correction marks. The rectangular rangefinder image is not very large and has a yellow tint.
It features a flash sync socket on the shutter ring, a round frame counter dial, and a reminder of the film type used in an arc next to the rewind knob. However, it does not have a self-timer.
