Chronology of cameras Diplomat

Document sans titre

This camera exists with different brands.

They are all easily recognizable cameras by their elongated shape, with a very shaped finger rest, a rectangular, sometimes asymmetrical protuberance, around the lens.
The CdS cell indicating the need to use the flash and the sensitivity display are usually to the right of the lens. The lens is a fixfocus, 38 mm, opening at best at f/4. Sometimes it says the maximum aperture is f/3.8, but you can bet it's always the same. It is stated that the lens is from Japan, which is usually an admission of weakness for everything else.
On some models like the Toma AF35, there are two false autofocus windows, although the mention Focus Free is present.

All these cameras were probably manufactured by Premier, a major Taiwanese manufacturer, which sold little under its own name. Wecan examine the Premier PC-500. It's not the same model, but the similarities are strong.

Some cameras coming from the same factory:

The Diplomat brand was registered in 2004 by the company VDM DOO (a company incorporated under the laws of Montenegro). The submission was made in Spanish. It is possible that this mark was the subject of a previous deposit, by another company in Spain.
