Chronology of cameras Contessa-Nettel

Contessa-Nettel offered several camera models from 1919 (following the merger of Contessa and Nettel) to 1926 (when it was absorbed into Zeiss Ikon). All were exceptionally well-manufactured.

The table below, though not exhaustive, demonstrates that Contessa-Nettel addressed various factors to offer a comprehensive technical catalogue, featuring a wide range of price points. Lenses with an aperture of f/4.5 and Compur shutters were reserved for high-end models. Cheaper shutter options were also available to provide more economical alternatives. However, for models like the Adoro and Fiduca, these alternatives do not appear to have been offered.

The 6.5 x 9 model was numbered 29, the 9 x 12 model was numbered 76, and the 10 x 15 model was numbered 110.

Zeiss Ikon kept it in their catalog until stocks were exhausted in 1927.
