Chronology of cameras Contessa-Nettel
Contessa-Nettel offered several camera models from 1919 (following the merger of Contessa and Nettel) to 1926 (when it was absorbed into Zeiss Ikon). All were exceptionally well-manufactured.
The table below, though not exhaustive, demonstrates that Contessa-Nettel addressed various factors to offer a comprehensive technical catalogue, featuring a wide range of price points. Lenses with an aperture of f/4.5 and Compur shutters were reserved for high-end models. Cheaper shutter options were also available to provide more economical alternatives. However, for models like the Adoro and Fiduca, these alternatives do not appear to have been offered.

The Altura was, for two years, an economical alternative to the Adoro 9 x 12 cm. The finish is identical, but the camera body is made of wood.
The option to purchase it equipped with an Ibso shutter, instead of a Compur, makes it even more affordable.
