The ME is a full automatic exposure body released in 1977. It uses the K bayonet mount lenses.
The "Special Edition" series keeps all the technical features of the ME, but has more luxury finishing and an improved viewfinder. The camera is decorated with a brown leatherette, like the K1000 Special Edition (also released in 1977)
