Chronology of cameras Canon

The Canon A35 F was released one year after the Canon A35 Datelux, which was the first Canon camera to have a built-in flash. The Canon A35 Datelux offered a photo timestamp function, but this feature was removed on the Canon A35 F. This decision was made because the American and European markets were less interested in this functionality at the time.

Extraction, activation, and removal of the flash are manual (button on the back of the camera). The flash operation is fully automatic with the Canon system (CHATS), which adjusts the aperture according to the shooting distance and film sensitivity.

Comparing it to the Datelux version, we can see that the lens barrel is shorter, which is because the date adjustment is made on this barrel.
The lens is a 2.8/40mm, making this rangefinder a good model for street photography.
