Chronology of cameras Krasnogorsk
The Horizon is contemporary of the Zenit E and follows the FT-2.The overall style of the two devices is close. We find the same sheathing and even the chromium plating.
The Horizon is a panoramic camera, which means that it is able to shoot a subject on a very wide angle. It is not a super wide angle, which because of its optical design enables a wide angle shooting, but produces large curvatures. Panning is based on the mechanical scanning of the field by a lens closer to the standard.
In this particular case, the lens is a 2.8 / 28 mm, thus a wide angle, but without an exaggerated distortion of horizontal lines. This lens rotates on itself in a quarter of a second for scanning a total angle of 120 ° (45 ° in height). Each obtained view is 24 by 58mm. The shutter allows the following speeds: 1/30, 1/60, 1/125 and 1/250.
To well appreciate the angle of view, the specific viewfinder is needed. It is detachable and is inserted into a hot shoe, which considering its position can be used only for the viewfinder (Be careful, it has a tendency to slip out of the shoe).
A handle improves grip and stability.
This first version of the Horizon will be followed by several others, such as the 202.
