Mamiya RZ 67

As an evolution of the RB, the RZ is a totally revamped unit: electromechanical speeds (from 1/400 to 8 seconds / B and T) are controlled from the body, setting of the diaphragm being made on the lens which is part of an expanded range of three new focal lengths among which is a 500 mm. The shutter cocking is always done by operating a lateral lever but this action also causes the winding of the film regardless of the vertical or horizontal orientation of the magazine.
The spot or center-weighted TTL (through interchangeable finder lenses) is possible via a prism or lens viewfinder, and this allows the unit to operate in automatic aperture priority mode  (the speed exactly fits) , the transmission of information taking place between body and lens through a series of gold plated contacts.
The length of the bellows (46 mm) to which can be added the 45 and 82 mm extension rings can provide a magnification X 2 (1.92) while keeping the TTL measurement.
The range of accessories is also enriched in particular by a "winder" to motorize the winding, which also makes it possible to use an infrared remote control with a range of about 30 to 40 meters.
The RZ can use the old range of RB lenses but then must work with mechanical speeds and loses TTL metering.
The RZ may also use the back of the RB by using an adapter.
