This small compact motorized presented in 1991 at the time of the SITI of Paris, was intended to replace the PRIMA 4 (while remaining at the same price).
The PRIMA 5 is a camera “press-button” archetypal : place a battery (3 volts with lithium), a film coded DX, discover the lens, cock and press on the button, the camera will make the remainder. The only hand drive operations are those of the flash: off, auto and red eyes, forced flash, and the self-timer (10 seconds), whose organization is announced by weak flashes of lighting of the flash.
The exposure is automatic, the focusing automatic. The lens has a fixed focal distance of 38mm and opens to F: 3.5.
