En 1975/76, la gamme des Praktica fut entièrement renouvelée. Le PLC2 est un LLC modifié.
Il est fait pour être utilisé avec les objectifs Pentacon Electric. L'obturateur est à lamelles métalliques. D'autres détails, moins importants signalent l'évolution : l'extrémité du levier d'armement est plastifiée, la mise au point est plus douce avec les nouveaux objectifs, le commutateur d, Be mesure diaphragme a été modifié etc.
