Chronology of cameras Butcher
In 1913/1914, the Cameo Model I, part of the series of cameras bearing this name, is the mid-range option. It offers a wide variety of format variations (6 x 9 cm, 8.5 x 10 cm, 9 x 12 cm, or 9 x 14 cm) and lenses (Beck Rapid Symmetrical f/8, Aldis Uno f/7.7, Beck Mutar f/6, or Zeiss Triotar f/6.3). The standard shutter is the Lukos II, but for certain variations, it is possible to replace it with a Compound, or even to have the camera delivered without a lens or shutter. This multitude makes identification challenging.
The Model I is made of wood, covered with imitation leather. The front panel is made of black enameled aluminum. The hardware is nickel-plated. The U is made of aluminum alloy.
