Chronology of cameras Butcher

Despite the resemblance, the shutter is not a Newest by Grégoire. A high-magnification magnifying glass reveals that it is a Lukos No. 0. However, with the available information, determining the origin of this camera is not possible. It is of simple construction, made of wood covered with imitation leather. The front panel is made of ebonite or covered internally with an ebonite plate. The lens and shutter support is molded in one piece. The lens is unbranded, likely an achromatic, so probably a doublet.

The camera is intended for a young (and male) clientele. It is sold with a waterproof khaki-colored case.
