Ce 500 est une variante du 35 S et du 35 Deluxe auquel il ressemble comme deux gouttes d'eau. Il fait partie de la même série, seul son obturateur est différent. Remarquez les extrémités du capot qui "décrochent" au niveau de la molette de rembobinage et du compteur de vues.
Les 500 ultérieurs et ses variantes adoptent un capot dont la ligne est droite de bout en bout, incluant ainsi la manivelle de rembobinage et sont équipés d'un objectif Ricomat.
Il est à noter que l'optique provient probablement du fabricant Tomioka.
