Chronology of cameras Kodak

This example, made in Rochester NY, differs from the others only in the picture frame pattern on the sides. It is possible that this pattern was in vogue around 1928, but no reliable information has been found.

The Americans had a long romance with 127 film in "vest pocket" and "candid" (half frame) cameras before WWII, and with the Baby Brownie, Brownie 127 (6 x 4 cm) and the "Star" cameras of the 1950's and 60's (4 x 4 cm), but there are few box cameras for the format.

The body is made of glued cardboard in the manner of the day. The shutter speed is changed from "instantaneous" to "time" by raising the little slider on the top.
