Chronology of cameras Certo
The Certonet exists in the two most popular film formats of the time: 6 x 9 and 6.5 x 11 cm. This particular one corresponds to the latter.
These are folding cameras where the bellows and the lens/shutter block need to be manually extended. At the base of the U-shaped support for the block, two tweezers help improve grip. These folding cameras were the last of the brand before the manufacturer modified the architecture of its cameras to make them automatic, meaning they unfold automatically when the lid is opened.
This model has a pivoting erecting viewfinder supplemented with a bubble level, and a second non-optical frame viewfinder with a rear part featuring a crosshair and a front part consisting of a thin wire frame that folds to allow the camera to be closed.
