Chronology of cameras Argus

This variant of the Model A features a shutter that allows you to choose from 1/25 to 1/200 seconds in addition to B (bulb) and T (time) settings by simply rotating the ring around the lens. It does not have a mechanism to prevent multiple exposures, even when the lens is retracted, but it can accommodate a cable release.

The lens is an anastigmat with a focal length of 50 mm and an aperture range from f/4.5 to f/11.

Argus A

__________

The Argus A series cameras are 35mm cameras (with the exception of a later plastic model, a 126 film camera, not presented here) made of bakelite for the front part and metal for the rear part. The metal rear portion is entirely removable. The lens is on a retractable tube mounted on a spring.
On all A models (except the FA), the rear part is decorated with geometric designs inspired by Art Deco.
