Ernemann built many alternatives of its own cameras, and the precise identification is not easy.
This model seems to be Klapp Modèle I of 1903.
Of format 10 x 15, it has a horizontal and vertical off-centring.
The focal plane shutter is with adjustable slit from outside, from 10 to 60 mm, with tension of the curtains varying from 1 to 12. With the strongest tension, speeds spread out of 1/50 to 1/2500.
The table of adjustment speeds is written in French, and the logo indicates “Ernemann Paris”.
The camera has a spirit level and the viewfinder is folded up automatically during closing.
One can fix a special cable release blocking itself on the two small screws framing the shutter release.
The focusing is possible up to two meters thanks to a double helicoid, ordered by a lever. It is possible to use ground glass
A nut of foot to the threading of the congress is under the basis.
Besides the simple frames, it was possible to use a magazine for film-pack.
