Chronology of cameras Goldstein

After the WWII, Goldy was a very large popular success. This small 6x9 box (film 120) made of paperboard had the great originality to be manufactured in several colors. It was declined in black, red, green, blue, in havana, in red wine and white. I thought a long time that if the coloured versions are rarer it should be due to a difference in price, but the extract of the catalog below shows that the price is identical whatever the color. It was to forget that the end of the Forties and the beginning of the Fifties were one period of austerity, where the black was synonymous with serious.

Goldy was equipped with a yellow interns filter , improving the results in black and white.

The handle, very fragile, misses often cameras which we find now. This one is laid out in diagonal on the top of the camera. However, on the camera which is on the right on the photograph, this one is laid out longitudinally. It is made of plastic and either made of boiled paperboard. It also should be noticed that the word "Goldy" which usually appears with the bottom of the front face of Goldy misses of this one. Would this be an intermediate model towards Monococ, metal version of Goldy?

Metabox will be a more elaborate version of Goldy.

Consequence of my research, here to some extent the birth certificate of Goldy. It is seen there that the company agent of the Goldy mark was called Etablissements Goldy (limited liability company) and was 21, 23 rue de l'Aqueduc in Paris. The deposit dates from April 10, 1947.
