Chronology of cameras Kodak
Traduction de Manuel M
This camera of very beautiful manufacture prefigures what will be first Retina and Retinette, except that it is bigger, because it uses films of format 620. Its production will end about at the time when the two series of 135 will be launched.
The quality is that of manufacture of Dr. Nagel, whose firm was took over by Kodak in 1932. The camera was probably designed before this acquisition. It has of American only the lens. (one can find it with German lenses)
Strangely, the plate located inside the flap says “Six-20” and not “620” what indicates a will power of international diffusion. It also specifies: Kodak A.G Dr. Nagel - Werk Stuttgart.
The visible lever on the picture moves the lens mounted helical ramp, thus ensuring the focusing. The Nagel Vollenda is equipped with this same device not very common on the folding cameras.
