Chronology of cameras Kodak
The Panoram present themselves as large box cameras with a large opening on front in which there is a swivel lens. After being wound, a spring triggers a rotational movement of the lens in the extension of which is a shutter in a form of a vertical slot. While moving, the lens rotates at the same angle the vertical slot that lights the film itself disposed in an arc at the bottom of the darkroom. We find a similar system on other panoramic cameras, such as the Multiscope Al-Vista.
The angle covered by this Panoram No 4 is 142 °. This is the model D. It may be recognized, firstly because this is written inside of the back door , but precisely because the back and sides open to facilitate the film loading.
There are other models of Kodak Panoram but with smaller formats.
