Chronology of cameras Leica
5000 copies of the Leicaflex Mark I were made and 32 000 Leicaflex Mark II were manufactured. The frames counter window is square on the Mark I while it is round on the Mark II, and the nut for the tripod is screwed to the Mark I and integrated in the base on the Mark II.
The body frame is made of cast aluminum, top cover is made of cast zinc and the base is chrome plated brass.
The used speed (1 second to 1 / 2000th) is reported in a clear viewfinder and it is possible to use intermediate speeds between 1/60 and 1/2000 second. The flash sync speed (M and X front) is 1 / 100th spotted by a lightning symbol, but the contacts on the accessory shoe are missing.
Although the movement is well damped, the mirror may be hang in the up position to avoid any vibrations or if you use a lens, the rear element of which is very deep inside the body.
If the Leicaflex Mark I is the first camera to adapt R mount lenses, light measuring remains external: TTL metering will appear in 1968 only with the Leicaflex SL model.
