Chronology of cameras Zeiss Ikon
Coming from Contessa-Nettel, this Duchessa, a small camera, had a short career at Zeiss Ikon.
It is designed to be used with a plate or Film-packs. It is an atypical plate camera by the shape of its struts which brings it closer to the Klapps.
It is made of metal, morocco-covered. Focusing is done by a radial lever located at the base of one of the two vertical uprights supporting the lens and the shutter.
The brillant viewfinder is hidden behind the front metal plate, complex-shaped, housing the lens.
Its selling price was very high.
Initially, this camera was in the Contessa-Nettel product line which included a similar model, the Sonnet.
