Chronology of cameras Bencini
In 1948/49, Bencini equipped itself with significant industrial capabilities for die-casting aluminum. The new models would bear the characteristic family resemblance of the brand. The model then on sale, made of metal but not die-cast, the Rolet, was replaced by the Relex. The technical specifications remained the same: a 4 x 6 cm negative on 127 film, a single speed of 1/30, a 75mm lens with an aperture of f/11, mounted at the end of an extendable tube.
Underneath the base, there is a support stand that keeps the camera flat, even when the lens is extended forward. At the top, a plate indicates the model's name. It carries a number (120922), but the same number has been found on other units, suggesting more of a model number than a serial number. The number 120923 is associated with a Koroll.
This unit is equipped with a cap, which is rare on cameras encountered today.
