Chronology of cameras Lachaize

This camera, designed for micro-photography was made by Paul Lachaize and was based on the Perfo 608 for the Wild company.
It uses, by means of interchangeable masks, 5 m long film reels, 6 cm wide to provide 4.5 x 6, 6 x 6 and 6 x 8 formats, but also the film 35 mm wide perforated (24 x 36 mm) or not (size 32 x 43 mm).
Setting, performed from the outside, changes the length of film during the advance.
The frame counter is a mechanical feeler device providing a relative accuracy.
The film winding is actuated by the trigger on the top.
Two threads of the Congress type allow for installation on a tripod, which is essential for this kind of equipment.
The housing has a bayonet that was to receive a central shutter which, when installed, automatically opens a shutter formed of four pivoting flaps.
A knife is used to cut the exposed part of the film for processing.
This is a device that does honor to the French craftsmanship.
