Chronology of cameras Zeiss Ikon
Compared to the Ikonta range, the model 520/15 has the particularity of using 616 film with the format 6,5cm x11cm. However there exist several variants of lens and shutter, this one is equipped with a Carl Zeiss Jena lens type Tessar 1: 4.5 f-12 cm and a F Deckel shutter type Compur 1s to 1/250e. Thanks to the number well hidden under the viewfinder, we know that the dating of this camera is 1933 and considering the small plate fixed on the back, it was bought at Photo Plait Paris.
The reputation of Zeiss Ikon is intact the mechanical parts are in perfect working condition. Unfortunately 616 films have not been manufactured for the last decade, but we easily found solutions with a little bit of imagination. However, we still have the noise of Compur, “a true pleasure for those who like beautiful mechanism”.
