Chronology of cameras Houghton

The Ensign Snapper is a camera with a beautiful frosted gray painting  . There are other colours (black, maroon) for its coating. Its usage is pretty rough. Once in use, you must actuate a small metal rod on the lens block to release the shutter. Here, there is a single shutter speed and time exposure. There is a choice between two apertures. Distance setting is done by rotating the lens ring.

The opening of the back is carried out by pushing in its greatest length the silvered metal piece (on the edge of the camera) which carries the serial number of the item.

Safelight window on the back can be obstructed by the rotation of a small button. Once the back open a specific label indicates that you should not use the film 120 but 620.
