The model H was the last model of the No. 3 Folding Pocket series and was only produced briefly, because very soon, it was replaced by the No. 3 Autographic.
We know that the Autographic function consists of an opening in the back (closed by a plate) which, thanks to a metal stylus, allows to write directly some information on a part of the Autographic film. If for some models, the stylus is set close to the lens, on the No. 3 Autographic, this is not the case, as it is attached to the back hatch.
In short, the change to go from No. 3 Folding Pocket (mod. H) to the No. 3 Autographic involved a change of the back. Presumably some owners of No. 3 Folding Pocket (mod. H) asked that change on their camera.
The Autographic version had a 10 years lifespan.
