Chronology of cameras Kodak
The E-2 all have a leather covered lens plate sliding vertically in an U-shaped support. The variations differ mainly in the lens and shutter.
Here, the Bausch & Lomb Automat shutter has the originality of having curved aperture and speed scales, at the bottom of the shutter. Unlike the Automatic shutter speeds are not adjusted any more on the round dial on top of the shutter. There are the two pistons, one for the pneumatic actuator and the other as speed control.
Like other E-2, we find the plate (left in photo) on the inside of the bed which memorize a distance of focus. With a pull tab which is locked in the notched edge of the plate, a stop moves in the rail and prevents the lens/shutter block to go forward.
