Chronology of cameras Suruga Seiki Co.
The Mihama Six II is Japanese folding from the 1950's whose main eccentricity is the presence of two viewfinders .
Each one is dedicated to a picture format , the right viewfinder frames the 4.5 x 6 format in portrait mode and the left the 6 x 6 format .
The camera is bi- format. There is a red window for each picture format on the camera back and there also is a slide control on the hood that allow to hide the unused viewfinder with a red filter.
This mask mecanism in the viewfinder is the main difference with model 1 where it was lacking.
The format change itself should be performed before loading the film, by inserting or removing a 4.5 x 6 cm size mask, as it does not appear to be internal flaps inside the camera.
The camera was usually equipped with a N.K.S. shutter and a Mihama lens probably subcontracted, but it is sometimes found with other lenses or shutters like this copy where the shutter seems to be an M.S.K.
