Chronology of cameras Mazo

This 13 x 18 cm format folding plate camera, very light and made of wood (mahogany), was built very carefully by Mazo, according to the identification plate placed next to the handle.
It is a folding camera, the bed of which moves on two brass slides thanks to rack and pinion systems. This frame comprises a notch in which a "crutch" is secured to ensure the perpendicularity of the lens holder plate to which it is attached.
The bellows is made of brown leather.
The lens is a "Rapide Orthoscope 13 x 18" by "E. Mazo Opticien 10 Boulevard Magenta, Paris". The aperture system is of the "valve" type: that of larger aperture has the figure "8" etched on it.
The ground glass is fixed on a frame that remains secured to the camera by hinges located at the top of it.
