Depuis plus d'une quarantaine d'année, ce type de chambre "Touriste" 13 x 18 était l'appareil favori des voyageurs, mais la vogue de ces grands formats touchait à sa fin.
Il semble bien que Gilles-Faller ait repris certaines des fabrications de Soulé quand cette société a abandonné le domaine photographique pour l'industrie ferroviaire.
