Chronology of cameras Zeiss Ikon
This model is intended for use in hot and humid climates (Tropen = Tropics). It is made of teak without sheathing. The connections between the different wooden parts are reinforced in order to limit deformations due to climatic variations (wet / dry).
Note that the lenses of this model are Goerz and that this brand name is engraved at the base of the U supporting the lens. It was under this brand that this camera model was born, but Goerz merged into Zeiss Ikon in 1926. The model remained in the Zeiss Ikon catalogue for a very short time, no doubt the duration necessary to dispose the stocks.
