Chronology of cameras Kodak

This camera is made of cardboard and the lens is mounted out of sight behind the shutter. It has a label inside which says that it was designed to take 'Brownie No 2 film' (format 120). It has only one viewfinder, and that is almost useless. The shutter opens on both the up and down strokes of the lever, so there would be ample opportunity for double exposures.  The name 'cartridge' is said to come from the fact that the roll film looked like a shotgun cartridge. Some sources say that it sold for $1.
