Cet appareil utilise le format 616 donnant des négatifs au format 6,5 x 11. L'obturateur est un Kodamatic et l'objectif un Tessar IIb fabriqué par Baush et Lomb. Le corps est en aluminium recouvert de cuir de veau long grain, les côtés sont en bakélite.
Le Kodak 3A Autographic Special Model B, produit quatre ans plus tard, reprendra le même système de télémètre couplé.
