Chronology of cameras Mamiya

This camera is one of two MSX 500, the only difference is the integral 'hot shoe' on this one.

The exposure is set by balancing a needle in the viewfinder; giving preference to either the shutter speed or the aperture. The meter was turned on by the wind lever, and depth of field preview is available by pushing the wind lever back towards the camera. The wind lever is returned to the closed position by pressing down on the button on top of it.

The camera has a socket for synchronising FP bulbs which could be used at all shutter speeds from 1 / 60th - 1 / 500th second. There was a comprehensive range of Mamiya automatic lenses and accesories available for the Mamiya MSX 500/1000.
