Chronology of cameras Kodak
Se présentant sous forme d'une boîte de transport, en bois recouvert de cuir, avec une poignée et une courroie en cuir, ces chambres facilement reconnaissables, sont les premiers appareils pliants Kodak.
Elles ont été produites en trois formats : la n°4 Folding Kodak de format 4 x 5 pouces (env. 10 x 12,5 cm) , la n°5 Folding Kodak en 5 x 7 pouces (env. 12,5 x 17,5 cm) et la n°6 Folding Kodak de format 61/2 x 81/2 pouces (env. 16 x 21 cm). Elles permettaient l'utilisation d'un chargeur de pellicules (48 poses pour le n°4, 54 ou 32 poses pour le n°5 et 48 poses pour le n°6) ou de chassis pour plaques.
Les n°4 Folding Kodak et n°5 Folding Kodak ont chacune trois versions en fonction de l'obturateur :

1893 - 1897 | version "Improved" avec un obturateur Bausch & Lomb |
Pour le n°6 Folding Kodak, il n'existe qu'une seule version dite "improved".
