Chronology of cameras Ernemann
The Ernemann Heag XI (or Luxus-Heag) was produced between 1911 and 1926. This particular camera is from after 1913, when the lensboard is painted black and plate size of 9 x 12 cm. It has double extension bellows and the body is covered by black leatherette. The external optical viewfinder and respective pointer pop-up ands retract automatically when opening and closing the camera. There is an additional viewfinder with a bubble level attached to the top left corner of the front standard. The back can swing.
It has a Cronos central shutter, delivering speeds in the range 1 to 1/300 plus Z (T). The lens is a Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar of 13.5 cm of focal length and maximum aperture of 6.3.
