L'Optio S50 est l'évolution en 5 MP des Optio S40 (sorti en mars 2004) et Optio S30 (sorti en juin 2004). On retrouve la molette de sélection, la finition en alu brossé et la fonction Help qui indique l'utilité de chaque bouton.
C'est un appareil très bien fini, simple d'utilisation.
