Chronology of cameras Bencini

The Milan-based company produced a range of basic cameras in the immediate post-war period, all made of cast aluminum.
Another common feature is their impression of robustness. This impression seems well justified, as I have never seen a broken or malfunctioning Koroll. The sometimes slightly blackened aluminum should not deceive one regarding the camera's preservation, and it is highly likely that the polished aluminum began to darken (or turn dark gray) from the early use of the camera. That's just how aluminum behaves.

The Koroll 24 S uses 120 film but produces 3 x 4 cm negatives. It has a shutter speed of 1/50 second and a B setting. The speed selector is oddly designed. It's a peg to pull diagonally on the side of the lens. Another peculiar feature of the Koroll 24 S is the size of the bulge in which the viewfinder is housed.

The Koroll 24 S succeeds the Koroll 24, with a brighter lens. It's worth noting the disappearance of rings for attaching a strap.
