Attention not to confuse this camera with Brownie Bullseye of 1954.
Before carrying the mark of Kodak, this camera had a short career at Boston Camera Mfg, which manufactured it since 1892, until the company was absorbed by Eastman, in 1895. The original name of Bull's Eye was preserved.
It is about the first photo camera using of the flexible film to the back of which is a numbered paper (from where the appearance of the hole to the back of the camera). The camera is made of wood, covered with leather. The wood of the interior of the camera is very beautiful and to open this camera for the first time is a real happiness. Not only, marquetry is beautiful and interesting, but the mechanism of the shutter is entirely accessible.
There is only one finder (normal! the format is square. Film 101). The small pull knob on the right makes it possible to choose one of the three apertures. The pull knob located at the center, makes it possible to choose between snapshot and exposure. The shutter release is located above the camera, on the left (not very practical like localization). To open the camera, it is necessary to draw on the visible pin on the left side from the camera, bellow, then to raise by the handle by retaining the bottom of the box.
The production of this camera ceased in 1913.
