The Nikon Us is the Japanese market dedicated version of the Nikon F55D (F55 fitted with a data imprint feature back).
The Nikon Us was offered in kits including one or two lenses:
- Nikon AF Nikkor 28-80 mm f1:3.3-5.6 G.
- Nikon AF Nikkor 70-300 mm f1:4-5.6 G (for kits with two lenses)
The Nikon Us / U / U2 series intended for the Japanese market seem to have only existed with the data imprint feature back and therefore correspond respectively to the N55QD / N65QD / N75QD (*) intended for the US market and to the F55D / F65D / F75D for the rest of the world.
With an identified exception for the special series Nikon U Agnès b. which lacks the data imprint feature back.
