Chronology of cameras Canon
The Super Zoom S1 to SX 70 cameras are characterized by zooms with a very wide range of focal lengths. Fortunately, they are stabilized. The other models whose names start with SX are less bulky. The evolution of this series was constant and regular, with a new model every year. Some developments, such as the longest focal length, seem to be more of a marketing gimmick than a response to a need. IS means that the lens is stabilized. HS corresponds to a noise reduction system appearing with the DIGIC 5 processor. HS cameras are also stabilized.

(table from Wikipedia) __________
This bridge camera has a wide range of focal lengths. The zoom allows for use in wide-angle (equiv. 28mm) and very long telephoto (equiv. 560mm) settings. Handling the camera at the maximum focal length may pose an issue, but fortunately, this camera is equipped with stabilization, as indicated by the "IS" in its name. The brightness is good with a maximum aperture of 2.8 at the shortest focal length and 5.7 at 560mm. The image quality is decent, especially when using low sensitivity. Naturally, the zoom isn't a champion, but with such a range, one can't expect much more.
It is possible to shoot in HD, whether in 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio.
In 2009, this model was sold for 560 euros.
